"This is the time of year when Americans make a sincere effort to care about the World Series, which determines which baseball team will be the champion of the entire world, except for the part of the world located outside the United States and southeastern Canada." - Dave Barry

Nod to Valdosta.
This is a shout-out to Valdosta, GA. Well done on the TitleTown USA. Somehow, a city that wins it mostly on prep sports titles somewhat validates the contest in my mind. These are the towns that live and breathe hometown sports. Why couldn't ESPN make this competition focus solely on prep sports, or collegiate sports, or pro sports? Anyhow, congrats to Valdosta!

Not me. I'm on the other end. I think if you are going to compare prep sports and pro sports the pro's take it everytime. So much more to deal with, and a very thin line between bad and great.
With prep sports the drop off is much steeper. Doensn't take away from Valdosta as ESPN should have called this "Titletown USA Prep Sports Version + who visits our website and votes the most."
